I saw a lot of the old rock 'n roll stars many years ago. They used to put on variety shows with so many different artistes & tour the dance halls & cinemas around the country. I always regretted not going to see Buddy Holly & Eddie Cochran when I had the chance. 

I've seen a lot of the British groups like the Kinks, Johnny Kidd & the Pirates with Mick Green on lead guitar, Searchers, Yardbirds (with Jeff Beck). Since then I haven't been to that many. Dr Hook & the Medicine Show were excellent.

The Everly Brothers reunion concert at Brighton in 1984 was technically faultless but very disappointing. It was the penultimate performance at the end of a long tour. There was no support act & they were on stage for less than 1 hour with no encores. (Mind you, they'd performed most of their big hits in that time. The average record lasted less than two minutes back then.)

One of the best was the legendary Crickets when they last visited my home town of Worthing. This would have been about 10 years ago & they were absolutely brilliant.

Some of you have really been around the concert scene for a while!   

Went to my second one last evening at it was overall pretty awesome. The band I really went to see (Halestorm) rocked their butts off! Charmed City Devils (opening act) was pretty good too, and the show that Drowning Pool put on was impressive. Last up was Trapt, who was rather disappointing. Most people, me included, left after their first song.
All in all a nice evening out.
