I have FSX installed on its own raptor drive.  I have to install FSUIPC and other related software for my yoke and M-panel.  Should I install this stuff on the same drive, or drive with windows?

Also, I did not install the SDK kit.  I don't paint or develop or anything like that, but should I install this anyways?  Is it needed for any add-ons (free or payware)?

One other question which is OT, but since I'm here.  This is all on a new build and FSX is just a whole 'nother experience on it.  I am getting fantastic FPS and performance except in one instance and that is the top down view - it is wavy, no artifacts or black/white rectangles...just wavy.  Not experienced in any other view.

Is there any particular (of the very few left) tweak that might help with this?  I hardly ever even use that view but I figured I'd try to see if I can smooth it out.  Specs are below, just in case.

Asus P6t deluxe v2 (oc with blck only, set to 167)
i7 920 (D step)
12GB Corsair 1600
BFG 285 GTX OC
FSX Gold Edition

Hey there,

FSUIPC installs on the same drive as FSX automatically I believe. The other software for your yoke and panels should go into your windows drive... as long as it doesn't have to be in the same drive as FSX... I'm sure it doesn't if it's software.

The SDK doesn't have to be installed if you're not going to use it to develop anything Wink

I don't know about the wavy effect on the top-down view... Are you using nHancer?
