Since I'm still relatively new to the flight sim world, my ability to distinguish between FSX and FS9 visual products (screenshots etc) is marginal.  Has it ever been proposed that graphics submissions be identified to show which sim produced them?  Sometimes a new product gets my heartrate going only to discover, after several comments, they won't work in my sim  Smiley.

I've been suggesting that for years now!...

I make every effort to identify which Flight Sim I am using for my screen shots for that very reason!.

When I see a particular screen shot which I find outstanding, I have long given up asking which Sim it was produced with!... Sad...!

It would be nice to see an amazing screen-shot that looks like FSX, and be accompanied by the message that it was actually produced with FS 2002!... Smiley...!

Paul...G-BPLF...FS 2004...(and FSX)... Wink...!

Which sort of leads to another question, as a newish member, I've been loathe to ask.  In the several 'screenshot contests' the difference in quality between FSX and FS9 is often quite obvious, not so much because of artistic abilties as abilities of the hardware being used. To make this playing field more level and also encourage members with the lesser abilities hardware, such as mine, to participate, how about separate contests?  Perhaps, quarterly as in the four seasons, we could then have FSX versus FS9 contests with the top few from each sim.

not only, "Which sim is that for???" but also, "where did you find that craft!?"

if someone takes a GREAT shot that is going to be in a contest, could there be a rule that you must include with the pic, a link to where the aircraft can be found AND what sim it is that you are using to take the pic.  ..... maybe someone else would like to try to take a screenie that is close to yours, or even try to outdo yours with your own plane.

Maybe everybody could just put it in their sig. Don't know about the ones who fly both though.

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Huh

That would be like if I studied all night for a test, and you did not, and then on test day, the teacher said I had to give you all the answers first, before I took the test.

The locations of killer scenery & planes is common knowledge, and never more than a polite request away. Wink
