THE SEPTEMBER SCREENSHOT CONTEST

This Month's Theme Is Titled...

"OUT YOUR WINDOW"

This contest might separate the "men from the boys"!
One of the most interesting perspectives we always enjoy seeing is a shot from the pilot or passenger's point of view!
We want to see a shot looking out the window or door of your aircraft!
Could be from the Flight Deck or from a Passenger Seat,
just make sure your shot focuses on "out the window".
For Example, If taking a shot from the pilot's seat, please make sure the shot is "looking OUT" and not "looking AT" the flight deck itself.
Scenery, Atmosphere, Lighting and Creative Talent will be the key to winning this contest!
GET OUT THERE AND BE CREATIVE!
Smiley

Please see example below...

...

...

Once again we would like to thank Adam Howe &
the Team at Abacus for donating this month's prize!

...

PLEASE SEE NEXT POST
FOR THIS MONTH'S RULES!

THE RULES

...

Below are the rules...  Any questions or comments should be directed to a judge and will be answered at the earliest available opportunity. Any contestant judged to have violated these rules will have his entry removed and be disqualified.  Please start a thread for your entries for each member...
Most of all, HAVE FUN!

Contest Starts August 15, 2009
and Ends September 15, 2009.

**
Linking images to other sites is NOT allowed and STRICTLY ENFORCED!**
YOU CAN ONLY USE A FREEWARE SCREENSHOT CAPTURE PROGRAM!

Active Camera, Walk & Follow are NOT allowed!!

1. This contest will run from August 15, 2009 until September 15, 2009. Entries submitted after Midnight on September 15, 2009 EST will not be accepted.  Judging will occur after September 15, 2009 EST and the 10 Finalists will be entered into the POLL that will be posted soon after! Now the Members will cast their vote in the Poll to determine this month's winner!

2. The Simviation Monthly Screen Shot Contest is OPEN TO ANYBODY who wants to test their skills! Whether you are a newbie or an avid Simviation poster, we want to see what you got! Please be honest and do not start creating new accounts that result in duplicate or multiple screenshot entries under different usernames. IP addresses will be tracked!  Wink

3. All images Must BE NO WIDER THAN 1024 AND NOT MORE THAN 150KB IN WIEGHT! No cropping, editing or adjusting your shot!! Any images over 150 kb in weight, and wider than 1024 will not be VALID!  This rule is now being enforced since This is a Screenshot Contest and we "want to see the RAW shot!" All entries must be uploaded to SimV.

4.
ONLY ONE ENTRY PER MEMBER!
Each contestant must start their own thread in the Screenshot Contest forum with their shot! Your entry must be included in this thread.

5. Screenshots from FS98, FS2000, FS2002, FS2004, FSX & CFS series only please!!

6. Once an entry is submitted, it may not be changed or replaced.  This is to keep the confusion to a minimum, and to maintain forum integrity.  Entries may be withdrawn from the contest, but no additional entries from that member will be accepted.

7. Entries may be of freeware aircraft and scenery only! This keeps the playing field even!  Wink

8. Entries may not be edited in any way.  Any entry discovered to have been edited will be disqualified and the image removed from the contest.

9. All images must be produced specifically with the intent of entering them in this contest.  No screenshots previously posted images or pre-contest images will be accepted.

10. After the contest has ended and the judges have decided on the "Finalists", a "POLL" type thread will be started entitled, "Screenshot Finalists, Vote Now!" It will explain that the Poll will be closed within 48 hours. You must note the Post Time of this thread to know when it will close! This will allow the members to now vote for their favorite shot from the ones the judges have picked!

11. After 48 hours from the time the Finalist Announcement is made, the POLL will be closed and the Winner announced!

A REQUEST
We would like to ask the Author of each screenshot, to please supply us with the name & designer of the Aircraft in your post. So many people always ask "what aircraft is that", and We think it would be very informative for many of us if it were right there under the shot!
Thanks...

...

Good Luck to All and Thanks for playing!

There's a little tab at the top, next to site search saying upload....Wink

I'd advise uploading your sig and avatar too.....and reading the forum rules Wink

But apart from that welcome to SimV....I look forward to seeing your shots Smiley.

And....to prove that it's not just new members that make mistakes, I've just noticed the combined size of all the images in Jordan's sig......Tongue.....oh and the size of his avatar Tongue

A question... Is Acceleration and the aircraft/ships that comes with it classed as Payware or freeware? Seeing now that you can buy it as an individual add_on package which would make it payware or as a part of Gold which would then make it freeware.

yes as trackIR does not give any type of different view than panning around.

I always start with the newer posts, and work my way back to the older ones.   Wink
