Hello people,  Could someone more knowledgeable than I please answer a question with reference to FSX Standard.  I would like to be able to use Airport Design Editor, but it tells me that I do not have SDK installed,  I know that you get SDK in Deluxe versions, but is it possible to get  SDK into FSX standard. And what else would be I need to install and display AI aircraft at certain airports . And if so, from where would be a good place to download and install from.  Also being a bit cheeky, is TrafficX also available to download for free.  Wink

The airplane is just a bunch of sticks and wires and cloth, a tool for learning about the sky and about the kind of person I am when I fly. An airplane stands for freedom, for joy for the power to understand and to demonstrate that understanding. Those thing are not destructable  ( Richard Bach )

The SDK is only available with FSX Deluxe or FSX Gold (Deluxe and Acceleration bundle). No way to 'add' it to Standard.

The only FSX airport editor that does not require the SDK is Flight1.com's AFX, payware. A good program (I use it) but the money might be better spent to buy FSX Deluxe (<$30) or Gold (<$40) so you could use ADE and the other free FSX design programs.

For AI traffic: You can download packages that include the flightplans and aircraft. Popular sites are World of AI (WOAI), Military AI Works (MAIW) and Ultimate GA. You can Google for links or check the 'Adding Air Traffic......' forum. http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?board=AFCADTTools

If you wish to create your own ai traffic, here you'll find links to 2 utilities for creating/compiling your ai flightplans (traffic*.bgl files).
