I'm trying, but old Martin had a rough start, and Matt 'Mr. Consistency' Kenseth, has REALLY let me down. Tongue

If Montoya has that winning streak soon, I may be OK.

What needs to happen is the top 7 in points just needs to stay home for the next couple of races so the rest of us can catch up.

I think I messed up trading Marcos Ambrose for Joey Logano, but we'll find out Sunday if my gamble paid off.  Wink

Matt Kenseth has been doing bad not so much consistent as he was.

My team is just great Grin Cheesy
If you want anyone off my bench just send an offer because Stewart and Johnson are always starting on my team.

1st and 3rd in the standings. The most epic race was the one on 4th of July! Stewart went on the outside while Busch went to go block him and he wrecked himself and he said Steward should get black flagged for "dumping him" and then Stewart got the win and Johnson got 2nd. I was going crazy.

If you didn't watch look here,

Kyle lost some points with me on that one.  I like him as a driver, and I love the fact that he'll do anything to win short of cheating, but it's when he cries and blames others for his failures that I start to get annoyed.

The July 4th race was awesome.  The last 50 at Chicago were an edge of the seat ride as well.

I'm really hoping they got the tires  issues solved at Indy this year, last years race there was horrible .

Yeah its funny how in the press conference he admits he went to block him but he was already there but then he says "Well if im gunna get dumped into the wall that isn't fair and they should black flag his a** and give the win to the 3rd place guy" and I said O' Brother, cry me a river. Roll Eyes

Next race his engine blew out which made me thrilled!!! Grin

Also at INDY they said they have tested over 14,000 miles or something with new tires and used 26 racers from the Nextel Cup...so they are expecting it to be alot better.

Last year it didn't go to well for Matt Kenseth. Go Jimmie! #48 Cool Cheesy

Wow Shane you moved up 2 spots and in a nice spot at 2nd.

You had a very good week, Martin get's 2nd and Pablo (who they say could have won if it wasnt for the penalty he got)

Well my man JIMMIE JOHNSON wins the Brickyard 400 Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy So happy, not for my fantasy team but just for him winning. I was getting nervous because Martin was getting closer and closer on turn 2 but Jimmie would speed up and Martin said "I could get closer to him on turn 2 but on turn 4 he was better than me"...

Well standings are now up to date after this week,

1. Team BurgerKing-7331- Smiley490 points
2. Team TacoBell-5807- Smiley 480 points
3. Team PizzaHut-5748-  Smiley 225 points
4. Team Arby's-5619- Smiley 182 points
5. Team Mc.Donalds-5510- Smiley 254 points
6. Team Wendy's-4979-  Smiley 183 points

A close battle but as you can see the most points go to me and shane just by 10 with a 490 by me and 480 by him. Great performace from our drivers.

The worst team will have to go to Arby's and Wendy's  Sad Just by 1 point the Arbys got last place with a 182 and Wendy's 183.

Well I may start to do this more often as we come down to the stretch.

Here's the rules, this league does NOT get shut down (from what ive read) during the offseason we all stay here inless you quit (which I hope you wont). After this season is over you will all get (fake) trophies or for the lower ranking 4,5,6 you will get a pennant on your profile.

Team names will remain as well with there owners. Most likely we will be losing team wendy's after he has already told me he quit. I can make a setting where you can keep 1 OF YOUR DRIVERS before they all get deleted and then we start another draft.
Of course that wont matter right now but here's how the draft order goes.

What ever spot you finish in our standings thats what pick # you get, so I can make it fair. If you finish 3rd you get 3rd pick in our draft. Most people will agree some might disagree but thats how im making the draft order.

Once the league comes to an end and after the award you will get then we will discuss the rules. We are still looking for 1 more person to join NEXT YEAR if you are interested you can sign up now but it wont be active till February 2010.

Thought i'd give you guys an update.  Cool
Good luck its getting close for 2,3,4,5....hope your racers can pull it off! Wink

Finally, somewhere other than the bottom.

Montoya got screwed.  Grin Wink  That's racing I guess, but he should have won that race. Wink

Martin was strong again today, if he'd just been like this to start the season, he and I would be doing much better here. Grin

Both of my drivers should make the chase, barring any serious disasters in the next few races. Roll Eyes

I still didn't like the race, it was a total follow the leader bore fest.  Even Infineon had more passing than Indy did. Undecided
The tires were good, but there's just the single groove for them to race in, keeping passing to a minimum.  Had there been a second groove, Montoya could have possibly rebounded with those 15 laps at the end....

And Martin would have got past J.J.  Grin Wink

Grin, I was getting very nervous on the turns because Martin was getting closer and closer but thankfully Jimmie pulled it off. When they were always on the down stretch Johnson was always moving to the left almost like letting Martin speed up to pass him or at least speed up so JJ couldn't block him which was making me mad but then he would jerk right back in front of Martin blocking him. It was a fun battle for 1st at least but yes there wasn't much of any passing. They practically showed Jimmie and Mark for the last 20 laps when I went to watch it on my HDTV except for showing Juan Pablo as they were saying how he could have won this.

A good race at the end for the battle, I liked it because it was making me nervous. Roll Eyes

Mobius no worries your only 200 back from Shane and that can be easly gained with Juan Pablo's aggressive driving that usually sends him into a DNF (which is -10 points) Grin and Mark, well he's someone you have to worry about almost got his 5th win Shocked.

200 points is easy to gain if your racers do good, however 1524 points is going to be hard to gain on.  Cool

.... Grin

There was one race where I had Kurt Bush on reserve and I still regret it so much... it was the race where he dominated the entire race and led almost every lap. He alone had over 1000 points...  Sad

The week after I dropped Reutimann, he won. Grin Wink

This has been one of the best seasons I've seen in a long time. The top 12 has a lot of fresh new faces and some suprises as well.

Does anyone else think that Jr's future is in trouble if he doesn't start producing results?

Well ive never changed my lineup because well when you have Jimmie Johnson and Tony Stewart how can you.

I also think JR. is in trouble already. He cant produce anything good, I remember in the begining of the season he was all the talk and now I never hear about him. On the other hand Stewart's new racing team is doing great but I think that Hendrick Motorsports has to be the best on the track no dought! Shocked Cheesy Smiley

Im really suprised with how people have done but my favorite rookie would have to be Logano. He's having a GREAT year. Cool

The publicity for sponsors that Jr. produces is enough to get him whatever ride he wants, although he is doing really really bad I doubt Hendrick will be looking to get rid of him any time soon, especially not after one season.

True on the sponsor part, Jr. does have the luxury of being above the performance when it comes to sponsors.

But it's been 1.5 seasons of crap from the 88 team.  I say R.H. puts up with it till the current contract is up at the most. Yes he brings sponsors, but those cars are expensive to run & support when they're not finishing where they should, consistently.

Wow! It's been almost two years already??! Where has the time gone?  Shocked I guess yes then, time to start performing at least next year show some progress.

Oh my I had forgot what team he was on.

I expect after this Hendrick should look into getting a new driver. They have some of the best and the 88 team just cant even seem to get in the top10 where most all the other Hendrick cars are!

Everyone had thought he would be better which is why he had so much publicity. When you join Hendrick Motorsports where you have a 3 time champion going for 4 in a row JJ, a 5 time champion who is one of the best on the track Jeff Gordon, and a old like what 50 year old who has 4 wins already this year (which I think is the most..not sure) and yet he is driving great, and then you have a driver who struggles to finish races and get in the top 10.  Roll Eyes It just doesn't complete the story.

He will be the only Hendrick driver who DOESNT make the chase. You got Jimmie near the top, Gordon also near the top, and im not sure where Martin is but ITS NEAR THE TOP and then him. Undecided Grin

And there is going to be a few nice free agents this off season looking to move on.

Kevin Harvick & Kasey Kahne both want out of where they are, either of those two could be big in Hendrick equipment.

I can see Harvick joining Hendrick....

and if Kahne does I could understand....he might be better with Hendrick but I think its time for Jr. to start from scratch. Roll Eyes

I see one going to Joe Gibbs for thier 4th car, and the other going to Stewarts team(probably Harvick).

If all else fails for Jr. He can take his NW team to the Cup level. Grin Wink

I think Kyle is done for the year.

He's 14th now and still falling fast, no point gains in weeks.
