Mission loading problem (Read 11 times)

I've been flying the F4 Korean campaigns and decided to edit one of them to allow me to try out other aircraft and carriers however having made the edits the mission nolonger loads.

All I've done is C&P the mission file then renamed, added the names of the new carrier and aircraft over the originals and finally retitled the "title string" so as to not interfere with the original file, that should do it shouldnt it?

Per my email reply to Craig while 'on the road' and without access to my CFS2 computer:

First a caution...while all F4 missions were created in MB, many use parameters not allowed by that program. For this reason they were hand-edited in Notepad and saved with those values. IF these missions are opened in MB and modified/saved, those parameters will be lost and the MIS/DYN files damaged. IF edited in Notepad, this is not an issue.

The problem is always simple...once it's found. Undecided

I suspect the issue has to do with conflicting Unit IDs, or other parameters in either the MIS or DYN files, or both. The simplest way to check your work is to refer to Cody Coyote's Mission Builder Tutorial available here at SimV under CFS2/MISC or Missions/Campaigns....I forget which. In chapters 13/14 he covers the modifications you are attempting.

Keep us posted on your progress. If you don't find the issue quickly, we'll start digging in ourselves. Cool
