What i am doing now is plot my flight useing flight planner set the switch to GPS and the NAV switch on and let the aircraft follow the yellow line untill i reach the intended airport i switch it back to NAV and set the switch to APP for an ILS landing but i know the FMS has a lot more features to it. Thanks for any help.

Any specific FMS you're looking at?

The default planes don't have a FMS I'm afraid, you'd have to go payware to find a plane with a decent FMS.

Well, all good payware planes should come with a lot of documentation; like PMDG, and Captain Sim, telling you how to fly the plane, the systems, procedures. There's a lot to read  Smiley
