Sadly the pilot has been confirmed as John Fairey.

He will be sorely missed.  Sad

The older generation will remember him and his replica of the Fairey Flycatcher in the 80s and 90s. The even slightly older ones will remember him in his Spitfire T8 G-AIDN.

Very sad news indeed. John was a great performer and from what I've heard a very nice man. He will be missed both by his friends and family and UK airshow goers alike Sad
