The problem i have is that i canīt find the GPS or the comunication devices. I Canīt comunicate or navigate. It would be sad if i couldnīt fly this amazing machine. I wonder if you can help me how to navigate and comunicate without these?

I hope you guys and girls can help me!  Smiley

I just installed it to check it out for you.

There are no panel icons for communications but you can bring up the BI (whatever that may be in Russian) by hitting Shifted 2.

Shifted 3 brings up the Radio and Shifted 4 brings up the GPS.  These option are also listed in the Views /Instrument Panel menu (from the menu bar at the top of your screen).

Hope that helps.  Smiley

EDIT ADDED - BTW, it is easy enough to add icons to the panel to call those items. If you are interested in doing that, let me know.

Hit the "~" key on your keyboard.  The one next to the number "1" at the top.

Alternatively, if you have a joystick, map the function to a button.  After all, that's what it's like in a real aircraft.  You contact ATC by pressing a button on the yoke or stick.

Assuming you are comfortable making edits to files, adding the following bold lines to the panel.cfg file for that aircraft will place an ATC icon, a GPS Icon and a Radio Icon on the panel - just above the current Map Icon.

Navigate to the Ilyushin Il96 folder and find the subfolder in it named Panel.96 - Open that folder and make a backup copy of the file named panel.cfg

Use Notepad and open the panel.cfg file.

Find [Window00]

Scroll down to the bottom of that section - the last gauge listed will be

gauge50=SimIcons1024!Map Icon,  6,631,19,19

Copy and Paste the following three lines after gauge 50 -

gauge51=SimIcons1024!GPS Icon,  6,611,19,19
gauge52=SimIcons1024!Avionics Icon, 6,591,19,19
gauge53=SimIcons1024!ATC Icon, 6,571, 19,19

Save your work and start FS2004 and select the aircraft. The new icons will show as seen in this screenshot.

...

If you are not comfortable making such edits AND/OR wish to have the BI screen selectable by an Icon also, please send me a regular e-mail and I will send you a revised panel.cfg file and a small cab file which you can easily install and that will provide an icon for the BI screen also.

My e-mail address is opaflightsimaddict at verizon dot net.

Enjoy!
