Hello!
Just wanted someone to give me advice about deciding between these two LCD monitors. Both are 20''. They cost the same but,
The Samsung has better resolution (1600x900) and better design. 15,000:1 contrast.

The LG monitor has a 1366x768 resolution, and a better 30,000:1 contrast. It also has a very useful function: to put black bars to the sides when running a 4:3 fullscreen application.

Which one should I choose?
Core i5 2500k @ 3.8 - 8GB DDR3 - GTX 560 OC - 60GB SSD - 1TB HDD - Cyborg V.1 stick

My personal choice would be the Samsung.
I have Samsung, Benq and LG monitors but I prefer the Samsungs.
Also I like the resolution better. Any card built in the last few years will run the higher resolution. If the price is the same take the higher resolution and enjoy.

I recommend the LG...
What about the speed: 5 MS or 2 MS?
Any difference?

Well, I am 66 and my eyes do not see a difference.
But don't let the age fool you, I am an avid SIMMER and gamer.
On a 12 or 16ms screen you might see some ghosting but I really do not believe you will see the difference from 2 to 5ms.
The actual reason I recommend Samsung is because that is what I use on our work computers. We have 2 work computers with 4 monitors each. They are all 22 inch Samsungs and I have yet had not so much as a pixel failure on any of them.
All of the new LCD moritors are pretty good quality so it sometimes just comes down to personal preferrence.

Well... I'm 53, and I can't see any difference!
As you say, they are pretty good all of them.
Must admit, I have 1 pixel error on the LG - so maybe Samsung next time..
Nice to know there are other "Oldies" flying around in FSX!
PS: I see you have Windows 7... How do you get access to "Docs and Settings"?? - they are locked in my RC 7100...
