I've been using AFX (payware afcad program) in FS9 with no problems until now; my exclusion rectangles are no longer working.

If I open an airport w/ existing exclusion rectangles they are still working properly, but new ones will not.

The help file only mentions not to put your own exclusion rectangles on existing taxiway signs for "stock" airports; because I use windows 7, I have to first make a small mod in afcad, and then open the file in AFX. AFX will lock up on the machine (it is only designed for win XP) if I try to search stock airports.

So when I open a modded airport, its not automatically placing exclusion rectangles, so I don't think that's causing a conflict; and as I said it was working fine before.

I have used it in preview mode, which shows your afcad file on top of the scenery in FS9, and my rectangles are properly placed.

Any ideas?

Windows 7 has a feature that lets you run programs in 'XP Mode".

So I just tried that.

I can now search stock libraries.

I opened another airport that I haven't modified and AFX applied its own taxiway exclusion rectangles. They work. I tried to apply an exclusion rectangle on buildings at the same airport; they did not work.

I opened a previously modded aiport and applied taxiway sign exclusions; they did not work.

That's where I'm at with it.
