I'm going to college next week and am getting a laptop, which I would like to play FSX on, or at least FS9 with everything maxed. However, I'm having some difficult deciding what graphics card to get, as I'm not familial with laptop graphics cards. Any ideas? Also, is it worth getting the quad core as opposed to a duel core? I'll have 4+ GB of RAM (DDR3) and a Vista 64-bit OS.

How much do you have to spend?
There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!

It doesn't really matter, between 1000 and 2000.

I have a laptop *specs in my sig*, and my 9600M GT runs really well most of the time in FSX. I have some small stutters and lagging at low altitude in places with much autogen, so you may go better with a 9700 or 9800M GTX.
You can probably forget all about ATI for FSX laptop gaming, my friend has an ATI card.. I don't remember which one (Not a good one), but his computer can barely run FS9. But that may be because his computer is.. uh.. bad.

How about a GTX280 or 260. Are those any good?
