Good morning.
Looking for more advice again. This time it is concerning motherboards.
What is the best motherboard for the i7 at this time? The ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 LGA 1366 X58 seems to be popular.
Thanks in advance,
Larry

The Asus Rampage Extreme II is designed for engineers and is not needed for full clocking of i7. The Asus P6T is more than enough

The “best” (if there is such a thing) X58 motherboard right now in terms of layout and over-clock ability is the EVGA “Classified” -

For those who do not need the “best” extreme/over-clock ability the ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 will be sufficient. It lacks some of the ROG features that the Rampage II Extreme and the Rampage II GENE have but it has a better layout. One of the disadvantages of the P6T Deluxe V2 is the lack of a easily accessible “clear CMOS” button which can be remedied by using this –
