Just downloaded this PBY (SimV Props Pg 18). The aircraft doesn't make a wake when moving on the water, and no splash when it lands on the water. Anyone know if there is a fix for this? Huh

Check the aircraft.cfg Effects section for the following two statements and add as necessary.

wake =      fx_wake
water =      fx_spray

Did the rational thing and compared the EFFECTS section of Aircraft cfg file of the PBY to that of the Grand Caravan amphib. There was a minor difference:- the "water=fx_spray" on the PBY file had "\\" preceding it, while the GCA didn't. So I deleted the \\ from the PBY file and I now have the missing water action. I will learn, sooner ot later, to check more thoroughly for possible solutions before I post questions.  Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed

Thanks. I did that first and found them in place. It wasn't until I compared it to the Caravan that I noticed the \\ preceding the water=fx_spray. So all OK now.

PS:  Milton, that  Beechcraft A28 must be some aircraft based on the size of the file and the comments from the other simmers. Smiley Smiley

That would be nice, but if you had, I would not have found this thread and learned what to look for.

So my advice, don't feel silly for answering your own posts, someone else may learn from it.
