If you are interested in a high quality WWII Beechcraft twin radial engined aircraft with a beautiful VC, you should check this one out.  Now uploaded to Simviation  in the Props section.  There are 5 different models and 8 paint schemes.

You can see it here and download it if you wish: http://www.flightsimonline.com/xa38

Oh, great.  Just what we need!  Yet ANOTHER incredibly detailed and beautifully crafted plane from Milton Shupe and his friends . . .  Roll Eyes

Absolutely gorgeous aircraft.  Love the interior detail and realism.  This one's gonna be used quite often.  I'll probably drop a few paint buckets on one at some point, too. Wink

Well done, sirs! Grin

Just out of curiosity, why are the turrets facing rearward?

Thanks for your comments everyone.  Smiley

I suspect that the rearward facing turrets is positioned that way to minimize buffeting according to the test reports.  All pictures I have show the rearward facing turrets.

I guess a follow-up question would be: how exactly are they aimed?  I don't see any viewports on them . . .

Look rearward to the glass windows to see a periscope located mid-window and under the belly.  The gunner sat there on a swivel with the periscope.  As he turned, so did the turrets and firing was either controlled by the gunner, and/or the pilot could take control of the lower turret for forward firing.

There is a review of the RW aircraft here: http://www.flightsimonline.com/xa38/Airpower_XA-38.zip
