Honestly, it wasn't on purpose!  I just was getting nowhere on the TAMS panel, and playing around with one of my model plans and thought I might try the elevator.  That led to the wing, then the fuselage, and next thing you know, I had a full fledged model airplane on my hands!  This could be a cool hobby...   Grin  Later I'll port it into FS and see what happens.

...

...

Seriously though, I'll bet this would make building a real model easier...  Smiley

NOw that you have the frame set up, you need to set the fabric and tighten it with the proper dope ....

.... and, believe it or not, there is logic to my writing that.

Sidebar:
For Poser (character modelling) you can create dynamic clothing that conforms to the character's body, and to gravity.  You can basically "clothify"  a mesh "blanket"  over a "table" and it drapes over the sides.

Now, your "table"  happens to be a framework.  As you drape your fabric over the framework, it presses against the framework with indentations where it is pressing against the ribs ....  Export the mesh, "snip" off the overlap.

TUrn the frame over, drape the " underside" ... export....

Of course, it's probably going to be easier just building the esh normally...  but not as "real" .

SNORK!

Ok, I really don't understand too much , You can not make anykind of animation visual effects in any movie format *.avi, *.mpeg,*.mpg,*.mov etc in Gmax..in other words you can not make movies animation in gmax

You can do Apply Moving objects into any *.avi ,*.mpg,*.mpeg,*.mov etc like Jurassic Park dinosaurs over an empy landscape or over any footage ,
you can Make an entire animation graphic (Something like Pixar studios Toys Stories etc) with 3d studio max
this is basicly the diference between gmax and 3d max DUE the we don't need the animations in avi mpg etc because we use it to make objetc for games Discreet gave us a free software which would be the same 3d max 3 without the movie part at all ,was a FREE gift from this company to us the designers.

In poser 5,6,7 you can make animations only basically for human body ,they add dog and some other animals and clothing and you can export them into 3d max and complete the animation ,But Poser is way too heavy for any kind of machine, Poser has its own system to export these figures as animation format  too ,But I don't know what kind of machine can do this ,as I said is wayyyyy too heavy.

Yes, tehre are plugins for that for MAX, and I believe, other programs that are Poser friendly.  Not having Max, myself  (and the Max3 pluging doesn't work in gmax), I still have to learn to do it in Poser (fortunately my characters are not bashful because the robe keeps falling off... I still don't have it quite right!)

Get the 30 day free trial of Max. I had a lot of fun with it, and was able to come up with this (not quite finished):

My problem with getting a free trial of Max is that once the 30 days are up, I have to get back to "basics".

Anyhow, I am not going to get even the 30day trial until I feel comfortable with gmax to do other than basic mesh abuse.

Yah, that's the problem I have too.   Smiley

However, I'm in school, and there is a majorly discounted student version.  Wink

that is a nice way to model the fabric but how do you get the model from Poser into GMax?  Or the other way around as well.  I have been messing around with poser a bit and have searched all over the web but found no pluggin to be able to export Poser/GMax objects to each other.  Granted - that was about a year ago and things may have changed.

I have Poser 4 ProPack and Poser 6 (yes, I'm a glutton for punishment), and both can  export   (and import) 3DS, dxf (and other formats) files.  You'd have to play around with the settings to get them right, but once you have the mesh in gmax  you "should"  be able to use it with just a bit of scaling?
