Vettel being heavier and faster in quali will have woken them up in a big way.

Heavier and faster is only relevant when you win...  which Red Bull didn't.

Wow, Ferrari managed to scrape up 3 pts. How did that happen?

Which is where the tactical brilliance of Brawn comes in. Too bad that they were supposed to take away some of the tactics this year and put it back in the hands of the drivers. But when you have a KERS car like Lewis' which is slower than a car like Vettels without the KERS but because of that one little button, it makes it virtually impossible for a car without it to pass another one with it. Again see toyota of Glock trying to pass Kimi.  It should be all cars have it or none of them.
I'm not trying to take away from Jenson at all, they just need to keep on the development trail because its not as easy at it looked a month ago.

And what we don't know is what performance penalty Brawn were suffering during each individual session this weekend. Seemed to have a lucky break during the race, with the temp dropping towards the mid 30s by mid race.

Possibly slightly concerning for them for the hot and dry races, as the Merc was generally found to be more efficient than the planned Honda powerplant in the cooling department.

As a side note. There are pics of Alonso collapsing in a post race press conference. Apparently his drinks bottle failed early in the race and those genious' at Renault decided to have him infront of the media before he could get rehydrated.

Which they've eventually twigged on with the removal of refuelling stops from next year. Now all they need to do is sort out the tyre regulations.

well it could be fun next year as they are returning to the 97 style narrow front tyres.
