Does anyone on here have any experience of these cards and the optimum settings (and no i dont need to be told how wonderful nvidia cards are!)
I seem to be fine with close up's of aircraft, but at 0.80 -0.60 zoom anything with a stripe etc, goes jaggy unless flying and locked spot exactly level.
I've tried application setting with wide tent to no avail. any help would be gratefully received.

Its been a while time since I messed with ATi's Cat control so what they offer now in driver settings may be different however try and make the basic changes in the CAT Control Center and see if it does not look better

AA=4x

Leave adaptive AA unchecked

AFiltering=16x,

Mip or Texture Quality = Maximum or highest quality

Catalyst AI to ADVANCED,

Wait for Vertical Refresh to #3 on the slider (Application Controlled)

Make sure under API Specific: Enable Geometry Instancing, Support DTX Texture, and Triple Buffering are checked, nothing else.

Under VPU recover, uncheck prepare error report but leave Enable VPU checked… Click APPLY and close the ATI cat control center.

In FSX UNCHECK AA and try both the Trilinear and Anso filtering selections

and by the way.. you really need a Nvidia card     Roll Eyes    Grin      Smiley
