If you wanna fly an F-4 or any other jets from the 60s-70s then the best way to enjoy them is with Strike Fighters, here is where to get it, including some screenshots

There is a whole series of versions available; Strike Fighters 1, Wings over Veitnam, Wings over Europe, Wings over Isreal, and Strike Fighters 2   Like FS there are thousands of freeware downloads available for more planes, scenery, missions, campaigns, and on and on.
If you want civil and commercial aviation theres nothing better than FS....but if your also interested in military flying, these games simulators are inexpensive to get, and they are really fun to fly. And because they are based on older aircraft with simpler avionics and weaponry, they are a little easier to get going than many other combat sims that are based on more modern complex aircraft.......that being said there are many good modern aircraft available via freeware downloads.
