Ive got a very annoying problem ruining my sim! Im at the point where I think I need a new stick. My AV8R Saitek is only a few months old and I wouldnt think it could be broken.

The aircraft elevators wont pull up. The aircraft want to nose over. The elevators are at a neutral position or either in the down position that makes the a/c nose dive or not pull up. So I tried calibrating the stick. It shows the little marker "x" will not center and is located towards the upper center of the calibration box for the "Y" axis. Anyone else have this problem??? What should I do?

Thanks in advance!

I havent tried it this way. That was the other problem. I couldnt actually find the place to correct the calibration. I would only see the the output of the throttle, and X & Y axis. Let me see if I can get it corrected. And Ive noticed it will stick like my problem and then other times it works just fine. I wonder If Im hitting a key on the keyboard that might effect it somehow?...

You have an intermittent/faulty connection involving the "Elevator" potentiometer within the Joystick....

The Windows Game Controllers program will perform the test.

Unless you are good with electronics, then its time for a new 'Stick...Wink...!

Ok guys, I found some what of a calibration process but I dont have any confidence in it. Going through the process that was recommended led me to a dead end. But here what I found. Through the Saitek icon in the lower right of the desktop there is a settings/calibration. This will show on a graph the X & Y axis and the throttle plus rudder twist. For the Y axis the red line was twitching far to the left. So to get the axis back to the middle where it should be you have to push the whole stick down (its like a pressure point). This would bring the axis back where it should be, in the middle. But the red line still twitched. So I fired up the sim, took off in my Tomcat...and crashed!  Grin  Just time for a new flight stick. I mainly wanted to see if anyone else has had this problem.

Sticks don't last forever...

My Stick of Joy is 75 years old this year, and it no longer performs in the way it did many years ago.... Cry...!

The same applies to Joysticks... Wink... Wink... Wink...!
