Hello everyone,

Have any of you tried out IE8 yet? It was released March 19... just yesterday. It seems to be a bit faster than IE7 to me. I'm really enjoying some of the features. The only thing I've noticed is that it starts several processes when opening up tabs. I hope they fix that in the future, but everything else seems promising so far.

I know someone had a problem with the FSX kneeboard, so I checked mine just to make sure and it had no problems.

I'm happy with it so far.

Wink

I'll try it in a couple months and wait for a few of the bugs to be worked out first before I try it. Grin What's new about it? It looks exactly like IE7 and almost ff combined... Huh

I downloaded it.
At first it screwed my yahoo toolbar with all my edited buttons and I was pissed until I fixed that.

I like it, I notice sometimes transfering from tab to another tab is a bit faster. Nothing major but im not hating it at all.
Yet...hopefully I wont  Wink

ive had IE8 ever since the day it came out.  I have not noticed any MAJOR changes (other than plugins that I will never use - i just have no use for them) over IE7.   I do not have the YAHELL! tool bar, or Norton's Toolbar, or any other toolbar for that matter.  All I need/want is the address bar to put in a website, Google search bar next to that, and the TABS. (always have 5 open.... 1 being Simv forums.)

I use it, the only difference I found than ie7 was that you can go straight back to the web site you were on when you closed ie, but firefox has been doing that for a while now + still crashes now and again, good old ie Tongue

The multiple processes is a security feature. Each tab is opened up in its own process so that malicious code can't hijack the browser and do nasty stuff to the system. By having it in a separate process it is like keeping everything in its own little sand box. It can play with anything in its own box, but nothing outside of it

There's quite a few new features.  You can read about them here. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/internet-explorer/features/overview.aspx?tabid=....
