Thanks for the post.
John basically covered it. Please note that there is also a freeware KLGA available if you don't have the payware one. Just search the usual sites.
I'll be flying the Project Tupolev Tu-154M, in S7's "green livery".

Shane,
I'll have to check on that livery. I don't remember. Make sure that you have the 200 series... not the 300. The download is here in the simV library for the main Jon Murchison aircraft.
The HJG site here has the 100 and the 300 .....not the 200 (unfortunately).
If you install the Matthias Liebrecht panel and the flight dynamics for that plane (option)....... it'll take you a LONG while to get it airborne. That freeware panel is literally a payware quality "systems trainer". Use the basic panel for "fun" and for AI use.
I'll get back to you.
best,

PS: What will you be flying (so maybe was can all see each other in the correcft planes)?

I use AES in multiplayer all the time. Works fine. Did you readthe manual? Hit Ctrl+Ahift+W to bring up the main menu once you have it set up for the airports and configured to your plane.

Is the autoinstaller for that base plane safe? I REALLY do not like autoinstall packages; they so often screw things up.

I've run the installers (directing to a temp folder) a few times for the base and the updates, and finally for the new full version and the sound and have never run into bad things.
I'll be using the 737 Experience:
http://www.simviation.com/fs2004jets84.htm
1st link on the page.
Still trying to find a nice SouthWest livery for it, but if not, I'll fly in the Conti paint that comes with it.

John, I personally have not had issues with the Tu installer, however, I don't know what type of modules and extra software you need for your simpit and BAE systems stuff, so I would just do as Shane says and use a temp folder.

On the 146-200 United Express paint...... I likely have changed the aircraft title section of the aircraft.cfg file for the United Express paint. Here is the exact copy of what I have in it:
[fltsim.X]
title=BAe 146-200 UNITED EXPRESS
sim=bae1462
model=
panel=
sound=
texture=uex
kb_checklists=BAe146_Check
kb_reference=146_ref
ui_manufacturer=British Aerospace
ui_type=146 200
ui_variation=United Express
description=Original model by Jon Murchison.\nBRITISH AIRWAYS textures by Jon Murchison.\n\nFor model updates and other downloads\nvisit
www.arnz.cjb.net
.\n\nE-Mail jonmurchison@hotmail.com\n
atc_heavy=0
atc_id=N607AW

atc_type=BaE
atc_model=BA46
visual_damage=1
atc_id_font=Verdana,-11,1,600,0

Change the number at the top to match the next one in your listing of paints. Hopefully that will help the right plane to appear in multiplayer.

Guys,
Here is my aircraft.cfg for the S7 paint so it works properly with the newest 2.02 model.

Take note of the flightsim section number and change it accordingly. Also, I am using the widescreen panel...just scratch the word "wide" if you intend on actually trying the plane out without that panel version.

There is also a tan and a shamu if you'd like to use those to keep it SouthWest.
And if at all possible, could we delay until 7:30?
I made homemade lasagna tonight, and it'll be done at 6:30, so I don't want to have to choke it down.
If not, it's no big deal, I'll still be there.

An EXCELLENT flight!!
After a few circles over KLGA due to a CTD, we were on our way over the cloudy skies of the New England region. Nice weather and interesting wind conditions accompanied us on our way to Boston Logan International.
Then, things got interesting. Four planes all trying to approach the runway at once. I don't think we could have done it without voice control. John was established on his STAR approach, Skoker was tagging along with him, and Shane and I almost had a mid air collision!
I had to deal with the landing complexities of the Tupolev, traffic less than a quarter mile away, and then an autopilot failure for reasons that I still can not figure out.
That approach rivaled Kai Tak in the excitement factor for me!
Shane was eventually forced to go to runway 4L as I took 4R so we wouldn't sandwich. Sorry Shane!
I had a CTD when I came to a stop after clearing the runway, which was fine with me at that point. The others came down successfully, and as far as I know, the taxi to the gate was uneventful.
I'll see what I can do for a good future multiplayer route.

Passengers were a little shaken from all the crosswinds and turbulence, so I gave them a complimentary bag of SouthWest's finest peanuts on their way off the plane, and all is fine now.
Great flight for sure, both routine and challenging at times. My favorite kind!
Bring on the next!
