It was indeed a great aircraft. But I guess it were to stop flying at some point anyway - using it with today's fuel & maintenance prices would just not be possible, unless the prices went drastically high.

Shame that the Concorde only flew for a little over 30 years.

It's a great shame about Concorde. When it stopped flying, our ever shrinking world grew a little bigger. Smiley

Shame they withdrew it from operation. I'm 16 and fortunately got to see it in flight nearly a dozon times.
I'll never forget how it made the ground vibrate and then that ear popping rumble that soon followed.
