I thought a bit of an update might be in order. Smiley  I would have had this done sooner, but I went back and re-worked the fuselage so it took a bit longer than I would have like.  I think the new one is much better...

As always, feel free to pick it apart and tell me what you don't like and what is wrong!

Kevin

This looks pretty awsome, and I got mad respect for anyone able to do this stuff.

I just recently got the "SIGTGM" and am starting the long slow process of learning GMAX.

Which sim is this going to be for?

BTW, I always promised myself that if I got this thing done, I would do a SimV paint job for it.

What do you think?  Smiley

I do have one issue with the model . . . it doesn't seem to have a propeller . . . Wink

I do like the SimV paintjob.  Keep up the work!

This is just the fuselage, although I suppose I could slap a couple of jet engines on it if you want...

How about a giant rocket, right behind the pilot?

"Let's see you talk to ATC now!  Hahahahaha!"

Well, I still have a long way to go myself.  It's just a matter of making yourself learn a new program.  I still have to learn how to do a panel, the air & cfg files, VC, etc...  Give it a shot.  The worst you'll do is waste a little time and get a better understanding of how FS works. At best, you could make some yourself and find you enjoy it.

I think one small benefit of Aces closing may be that if we have a few years now, it'll get easier for people to make planes, without having to learn a new SDK every two years.  People may start picking up the baton again, rather than shying away from it.

For me personally, I am trying not just to learn to make a plane for FS, but to learn to model and animate in 3d as a hobby.  It started out as trying to just make a plane I wanted, but  my interest has grown outside of FS as well.  Right now, however, my monitor took a dump so I think this may be on hold for a bit.  I still have my laptop, but I really don't think it's up to the task for something this intensive.
