Just got the demo on my Xbox.
Pretty good, mostly. The outside super control mode is hopelessly annoying, as it the inability to look downwards in the cockpit. Assist mode? Yeah, it assists the enemy because it is stupid for the player to use.
Graphics are mostly alright, voice activated controls are also a decent feature even if 'haha' makes it fire 2 missiles occasionally. Turning off the microphone also enduces missiles to be fired.
For some reason when you stall the afterburners start flickering out as if your engine just sucked in something it shouldn't have. The controls are alright.
I think it is probably worth about 7.5/10. It could be better, but it has some decent features. Only really worth it if you enjoy a tedious battle and don't mind a basic flight sim.
Anyone else played it? What was your verdict?

Ace Combat Six is better, no doubt about it.
That "Turning off Assists" camera thing is terrible.

I disliked both. The umm... 'High G' (even when negative G) turns in AC6 were a bit stupid, as was how a radio DJ was using military frequencies.
I think I would go back to Over G Fighters for a console game. Doesn't have the graphics, but I think of all the games it has the realism... Or, most realism from what there is offered.

Got it on the 360 and loving it!!! It has very very smooth gameplay not a flicker at all!
The graphics are breath-taking... i even like how they introduced the Harrier to have a low stall speed because of thrust vectoring too.
Although it isn't the most realistic game it is awesome for combat.. i honestly like this better than Ace Combat 6 and this is only a demo as well... imagine the full potential of the game (not that it will be that big a difference)

I was just talking to someone who said their PS3 actually set on fire when they were using it. Not sure on the reliability of these forum folk, but I laughed.
Atleast we get a free repair when our consoles break.
The war will never end.

1: xBox 360 and PS3 have no graphical differences
2: the 8 processors in the PS3 run no better than the 360s 3
3: No one plays PS3 online so thats why it is free, xBox live has tonnes of users
4: Many games that you can't get on PS3 like Fable series, Halo series + more (Which will include the Microsoft Flight Sim coming out for Xbox HAHA)
5: Free repair for xBox 360
6: Never heard of an xBox melting and overheating takes a few seconds to take care of (I play almost all 24Hrs and rarely get overheat)
All i can think of at the moment

I can't get the demo till wensday. I hope is better than Ace Combat 6
.
Ohh the advantages of the xbox 360...
You know PS3 sales were way way way lower than any console last year... xbox has a great live, good series like listed above, and its the cheapest on the market (with many diffrent varietys of which one you want).
I love it. Ive trusted xbox since the first one came out and I thought the PS3 wouldove done better...
Sincerely, Tyler

What an immature post. I'm sorry, but you really need to think things through before posting.
1: there are varying differences between games on X360 and PS3 - things like aliasing, colour etc.
2: All I can say on this is that GTA IV slows down under heavy activity, which is normal for PS3, X360 or PC
3: What a blatantly incorrect statement. The amount of players has nothing to do with its price. Also, I have no problem finding full servers when I play Bad Company, GTA IV or Call of Duty: World at War
4: PS3 has its fair share of exclusives too. Not to mention, Microsoft has made no announcement regarding Flight Simulator on Xbox.
5: Not really relevant.
6: Tcco, you can answer this.
So, Layne, think out your post. And cover all contingencies.

red ring of death. Enough said. I know at least 4 people who have had it on their 360. I know numerous people with ps3's including myself who've never had a problem.
There's a reason MS made repairs free on the 360, because they knowingly released a console with flaws and design defects.
Now to avoid a childish argument, because I accept and appreciate each console has it's plus and minuses. I think people need to grow up and realise. They are just bits of expensive plastics.

Actually An-225 Microsoft have made an announcement that they are planning on creating a console edition of FS you will find it in one of the many ACE fired announcements.
and this whole fight about xBox vs PS3 is irrelevant because the post is about H.A.W.X
