Sweet, I'm so happy they are making a new WWII battlefield, 1942 was so much fun, and by far the best!

i heard this BF43 would be only a mini-game... as in only having three levels and three classes...

i could be wrong though... but i don't trust EA for anything other than trying to suck money off unsuspecting gamers as much as they can  Tongue

i hope i'm wrong... BF43 would be awesome!!!

Cheers

The theory is, that it will cost about... $20 AU ($10 US), because it will only come with three classes and three maps. You won't pay $99 AU, ($30 US?) for it.

that's too bad... i was really hoping for a full re-make of the original BF42

BF42 could have been a great game, but it was riddled with bugs from the start... i was an active member of the BF2 community back in the day... and we would get ramped up on every upcoming patch, thinking that it would be the one to fix all problems... they almost did it on version 1.5, but shortly after 1.6 was released and all the trouble came back with it...  Tongue

then BF2 was released and the WWII themed game was left to it's bugs... and although the new ones were quite cool, the first game was the one i liked the most... i loved flying those aircraft... the super-fast jets in BF2 were never my thing... and BF2142 didn't stick with me for too long also... too little content

i for one don't approve of this apparently new strategy from EA... it appears to me like a way for them to make more money by releasing smaller games, that can be produced quickly and cheap, and swarming the market with these mini-titles

well, after Spore, i will be always suspicious of anything released by EA...

Cheers

what EA are probably hoping for is that the community will just mod the new game, creating the content for them and for free. Its similar to what they did with every other battlefield game so i dont see why this one will be any differant.

Its a shame they are only making it into a so called "mini game" if it was a full remake, new engine etc etc it would have been huge. what faggots EA are.

sadly, for the Battlefield series, the only user-made maps that make it into general play are the ones that are 'officially approved' by EA/Dice and released as part of a patch...

map files for Battlefield are too large to be shared across a multiplayer session... so addon content is not as present as it could be
