This happened at my home airport yesterday (Sunday):
http://www.nbc15.com/home/headlines/38781427.html
Quote:
Bomb Squad Called to Middleton Airport
Middleton police and the Dane County Bomb squad are investigating a suspicious item found at the Middleton Airport.
The suspicious item is described as a pipe-like device, strapped to a fuel truck near the main terminal. The airport and area surrounding has been evacuated.
Luckily it turned out to be a hoax, but it's pretty scary to think about what could have happened if it weren't - especially when you know the people they're talking to in the article who would have been affected.

What freaking idiots would play a hoax like that? Have they been living in a cave, or do they fall within the short tail of the normal distribution?

Apparently he's facing federal charges if he's caught, which he hopefully will be soon.

I hope they lock him up and throw the key away...
An innocent prank is one thing, but a fake bomb is taking it too far...
Better yet, he should be charged and tried as a terrorist, and then executed...
