Hello Chums... Smiley...

As an avid user of Carburettor heat in my normally aspirated engines when atmospheric conditions dictate, I wonder if there is an associated "Carburettor Heat Indicator Warning Light Gauge" available?

The position of the Carb Heat Control Knob (in/out) is not easily verified, and can be left in a dangerous position!

Must be applied BEFORE reducing or closing the Throttle setting, to prevent Carburettor Icing.
Must be cancelled BEFORE finally landing*
Must be cancelled for Take Off*.
Must be cancelled for a missed approach and Go-Around*.

* (Applying Carburettor Heat reduces the Engine power!).

So there you go Chums...any chance of drilling a hole in my Instrument Panel and wiring up a Carburettor Heat warning light?...Wink...!

F...G-BPLF...FS 2004...and a happy Carburettor!... Kiss...!
