San Diego, CA, 12pm: An F-18 crashed into University City just a few miles from my house. Pilot ejected but plane obliterated at least 1 house. I can see the smoke from my balcony.
HOLY CRAP!

So sad. Started out just being a couple houses and now it's a man's wife, wife's mother, and their two little children. I can't imagine how bad the pilot must feel-he tried to put it down in the canyon just a hundred feet or so away.
This makes the biggest tragedy here in a long time (I don't think we lost 4 people in any one of the recent megafires).
