Thanks to all the help here we've started on our cockpit. The construction is based on Greg Cropp's "KwikPit" idea. We have been working via email for two months making adjustments and mods to get a cockpit that houses the following:

3-22" LCD Monitors using TripleHead2Go for outside view
2-17" LCD Monitors for Avionics
GoFlight Landing Gear and Trim Module
GoFlight Pushbutton Indicator Module
GoFlight Advanced Autopilot Module
CH Products Throttle Quadrant
CH Products Yoke
CH Products Rudder Pedals

Avionics package by Ellie Systems. If you are considering a cockpit but don't have the construction skills (or tools), contact Greg. This has been a fun project to work on and he is an excellent builder. http://www.kwikpit.com/products.htm

This should get us started. Actually---this is my son's Christmas present so don't tell! Wink

Thanks! This has been fun. I'm sure I'll be sitting there flying some--if I can tear him away! Grin

hmmmm.....and I do have that extra bedroom! haha

I'll have to be out on the corner with a coffee can and sign that reads, "please help me fly from my bedroom" or "will work for Project Magenta"

You have any idea if the modified KwikPit plans will be made available?

I've pretty much had to abandon any hope of getting a real(?) 'pit, but could swing a KwikPit pretty easy.

Pretty nice Christmas present. Smiley

Send an email to Greg and ask him. This has been a custom project to fit my items listed. He will modify any KwikPit for a modest additional fee. I also paid to have him paint it as shown. That was only $40! I couldn't do it myself for that--or do it as well!

When it arrives, I just bolt in the monitors, modules, throttle and yoke and go.
