Is it Jen's FSXDC-6.zip from here? http://www.simviation.com/simviation/static.php?ID=66&page=8

I installed it and all textures show properly. After unzipping and copying/moving the FSXDC-6 folder to ...\SimObjects\Airplanes\ it should look like this:
...
Note: my ..\Addon Aircraft\ folder is just one I created for the purpose, the ..\Airplanes\ folder would be the normal location.

Not likely as you wouldn't be able to select it in FSX without an AIR file. Dave's AIR files are associated with AirEd & have the appropriate file icon. Yours will probably have the standard Windows icon. If your Folder Options are not set to display the file extensions for known file types the file will be named dc6 without the .air extension.

I tried this aircraft in the FSX Demo & it displays fine on my system. I suspect your problem might be with the version of FSX you have or your system and/or display settings.

For reference I'm running Windows XP Home, and FSX SP2. Possibly a Vista issue, for which I can't offer any help.

What is the 'extra file' that I have?

Have you had success installing other downloaded aircraft?...or have you  had similar problems installing other downloaded aircraft?

Dave
