Black Screen and Freeze? (Read 188 times)

Recently I have been playing Call of Duty 4 - it keeps giving me a black screen, and the computer freezes to looping sound and no keyboard response. I know this is about CoD 4 - BUT!

On one boot, I got the message ALERT! System battery voltage low. I made sure the battery was seated correctly, but I still get the black screen with no message...

I have an Nvidia 8800GT, and a Pentium 4. 2 gigs of RAM. Any idea on what could be causing the black screen? Do I need to replace the battery, or could it be driver related?

no idea but i would just go out and get a new battery anyway. for $10 could fix your problem. and if it dosent fix it. meh its $10.

but i would get a new cpu Tongue your amount of ram and graphics card compared to your cpu are way unbalanced.
