I am currently on a AMD dual core 6000+ stock, no overclocking.

Would it be worth it to change to quad core AMD for FSX?

I was thinking to buy this one:

AMD Phenom Quad-Core 9950 CPU - Socket AM2+

Thanking helpers in advance  Smiley

If you were going to Intel from AMD, yes

with AMD your going from slow to a little faster on a quad

If you were switching to Intel you would be going from slow to the fast lane in one shot
