Well, good news and bad news.
From the looks of the specs of your machine, you do have a PCI-E slot, and from what I'm told, an Nvidia 8800 series card would be the way to go. Now I have an HD3870, which performs pretty well, but ATI is a bit lacking these days imho. In fact, I wouldn't even be using it if it hadn't been
given
to me in trade.
The bad news is that the power supply you have (if you haven't changed it yet that is) is a wimp, so if you upgrade your card to something on the higher end, you should think about changing that too.
Specs: Asus Crosshair nForce 590 SLI,
AMD Athlon X2 6400+ w/ZeroTherm BTF90,
4GB G.Skill PI Series DDR2-800,
Sapphire HD4870 512MB,
PC P&C 750 Quad, in a CoolerMaster HAF932
