Try looking in the multiplayer forum for the info, I have this same problem and just have to keep trying. Gamespy SUCKS and is one of FSX's worst features.

also.. have you updated FSX to SP2 yet? That, I think, should fix some of the issues of multiplayer.

Welcome to Sim-v!  I certainly hope someone can figure out a fix for this problem!  Grin

If you Blokes really want to have loads of fun just using Multiplayer, why not wheel out your copy of FS 2004 and join we happy band of problem-free Pilots on the Sim V Server... Smiley...!

I have FSX, but always use FS 2004, like many other Folks, for all my Multiplayer activities, every day!... Smiley...!

You could always get FSHostClient (free) and join one of the FSHost servers, no need for FS2004.

..if it was that simple, I am always surprised why more FSX Pilots don't try and use it...and constantly complain about Game Spy instead...?.... Roll Eyes...!

Very few FSX Pilots can be seen on Sim V, (and therefore FS Host's) Server... Shocked...!

I forget now, (it's been a while since I used it), but it may be something to to with the FSX Multiplayer Log-In procedure...insisting upon using Game Spy only?

There was/is no problem with instantly connecting to any Server of your choice with FS 2002 and FS 2004...

Nope Fozzer.... it is that easy.  Just use the FSHostClient interface.  I fly on other servers that have 10-15 FSX users flying right alongside 10-15 FS2004 users.

It is just that most FSX people are not aware that they CAN use FSHost spy instead.

BUT... a lot of the FSX "improvements" to multiplayer (like built in voice comms) are not then functional when on the FSHost  version.  You are just like fs2004 players.  But if you can't use those "improved" features, in FSX 'cause you can't get on multiplayer.... then you are no worse off.   Wink

Since I have gotten a better ISP with a 300kbps connection (which isn't slow at all mind you!) and a 200-350 PING I only have problems LOGGING in around 3pm oclock to 5pm and even then I rarely get the error.

FSX-SP2 (no accel.) AT&T high speed... Smiley
