A new headset coming... and a very cool one at that: http://www.gpstore.co.nz/Hardware/1565448.html

Also a GA type switch panel... yes you read that right: http://www.gpstore.co.nz/Hardware/1565447.html

If you look closely you'll see the switch panel also has mounting locations on top just like the yoke. Those locations are for the long promised instruments (already more than 6 months late).

For those that aren't familiar with the promised instruments: http://uk.gear.ign.com/articles/807/807903p1.html

Some seriously cool stuff coming!  Shocked

Wow..
A very pricey headset but once I saw it I wanted it.. Undecided

Well what I really like is that MFD from IGN that looks cool for a low price. Im looking for some switches for christmas and im going to get the Saitek Yoke but for that price id rather get something diffrent..

See now im only 14 so my budget is slim..

Very nice! Not sure if the headset is worth that...but I'm liking the GA switchboard. Good find.

I saw this a couple of days ago. It's a lot cheaper at www.fspilotshop.com/product_info.php?products_id=1738 I have been considering building a "custom" Go Flight system, but this is worth considering. Friggin' choices!?!?

Well I liked that Go Flight system with all the switches but for $300 it isnt something I want that bad.
Im not a huge cockpit builder. Also just get Saiteks throttle its cheaper.

I want to get the Saitek Yoke, Rudder Pedals, Throttle, There switch panel with the throttle, and this http://www.goflightinc.com/order/product_info.php?cPath=1&products_id=78 (for autopilot).

That seems pretty cheap instead of the pro stuff and anyways im only a kid so I dont have a job for that stuff anyways.
If you still want the switch panel and throttle here it is in one package-

The difference in price between the individual units of the Goflight stuff and the Saitek stuff is that the Goflight stuff is VERY well built using solid encoder and button components, on well mounted professional looking pcbs with METAL panel facings, and the Saitek stuff is still very "gamey" oriented........ hence the cheaper price for the Saitek.

I have a number of Goflight units... they are first rate.  As is thier customer service.

I've looked at the Saitek yoke and pedals in the stores:  it screams "gamer".

It all depends on what you ware looking for.

Dave,

If "flow of money" is a concern..... DON'T start down the simpit road  Wink.

It very much resembles the definition of a "boat".

A boat is a hole in the water into which you pour money.   Grin

Yeah now that I think about it Saitek does have a gamer look to it.
I have 2 questions about the Saitek Switch Panel if anyone can answer.

1. Does it go on top of your yoke?
2. It says its lighted for late night simulations does that mean the whole switch panel is lighted?

The one thing that Saitek has done that is a "breakthrough" at this kind of pricepoint....and I have to give them credit for this one for sure....... is to do backlighting on this unit.  So it is "lit" to look like a real aircraft panel.  The lettering lights up from behind.

I wish Goflight would backlight their panels.  And offer "retrofit" panel facings forthe older units...... so I don't have to buy more units....which I won't do....or just be jealous of the new stuff....which I would do.   Wink
