Hey everyone, I'm getting a new comp in a couple of weeks. And I've been looking to add a nice payware to it.

Well, this is a pretty easy choice, just consider which one is currently for sale. Here's why:

I tend to shy away from buying on launch in order to give the devs time to fix any bugs that may have wormed their way into the finished product. Let those whom were not born with patience suffer. Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Wink

If it were the PMDG 747 you were looking into, I'd be in a bit of a spot, as I have both (744+F and LDS 763ER), and both are incredible.

The 747 FPS aren't very good. I hope the MD-11 isn't going to be as bad. However the LevelD's FPS are slightly better Smiley

The Level D i find despite its brilliance you can still jump in and do some circuits, stuff like that with not to much trouble. Its very versatile.

If the PMDG MD-11 is anything like the 747, which it might not be! - im sure it will be fantastic, but that immediate accessability might be lacking. However, it may be like the PMDG 737, and you an jump in that and do pretty much what you want !

However, if im in the mood for FMC programming and flight planning, then theres no other choice bar the PMDG Cheesy

I get reasonable frames with the PMDG, excellent frames with the level D, despite my system Huh

Hi, with default scenery and low settings (1x water, no autogen, no traffic) the PMDG's FPS are satisfactory. However, with low settings, addon scenery (e.g. Zurich by the FSDT), at night, real world weather and a few AI aircraft from VATSIM, FPS are horrible  Sad

767 it is, then. Smiley

Or wait until LevelD finishes up their FSX 757, and we'll see how that fares.

(Not much would be changed save the flight dynamics, the 757 is just a slimmer, short-range 767, or vice versa.)

Hey I can't wait for the 757 for serveral reasons!

FPS will be great since it will be soley dedicated to FSX!

It's by LevelD

I won't have to read much since I've already got the hang of the 767 Cheesy

I wish they'd release more info  Cheesy

You also have NGX to look for from PMDG, and more info should be released soon, as the MD11 is now in final beta.

Oh, and Coolsky just released the MD80 Pro for FSX, as well, if you're interested. Smiley

(Starting to think about that upgrade... if only I didn't have to pay for the PMDG747 again, but if I must... Undecided)
