Alright, so here is my problem. I cannot get the Team KBT F/A-18E working in FSX because the canopy is totally opaque and I cannot see out.

I need help identifying the problem texture so that I may convert the Alpha Channel to black and hopefully solve this most annoying problem.

If anyone has any information that may help me out or if someone would like to send me their texture files for the plane that work in FSX SP2 then please send me a message.

Thank you so much, I really want to get this plane up and running.

No everything can be easily fix by applying or use DTXBmp ,Not everything becomes transparent by applying alpha black code..

Then how have some people gotten the KBT F/A-18E to work correctly in FSX with the VC?

The VC is totally blacked out and so is the regular cockpit window. Thanks

Ok after waiting two hours for the downloading (I hate avsim BTW) I don't see any problems AT all in the model ,UNLESS you are pretending to use a fs9 model to run in DX10 which it won't ,The Obvious problem seems to be that You haven't install SP2 ,you need to install first SP1 and then SP2 ,this was fixed in this second release...for an  FS2004 build models

Of course a real FSX model like the one that came with acceleration can't ever be compare to this (Shot 3 and 4 are Acceleration F-18)

That's so weird, I have both SP1 and SP2 installed, I'll try to reinstall SP2 now.

Do you have the DX10 preview enabled? If so, switch it off.

No, I don't even have Vista, so I can't use DX10.

Thank you so much for the help so far guys.

I have the exact same problem, with a repaint of the original Team KBT F-18.  I'm running FSX with SP1 and SP2 (fsx sp2.20071210-2023) on Vista.  Filtering is set to Bilinear, and I'm not using DirectX 10.  Unfortunately, the texture files are not named in a way that makes it easy to identify the cockpit glass.  I've tried converting most of the files in the texture folder, but to no avail.

I have AA and Anisotropic Filtering enabled but I am running on DX9.
