Heyo, friends.

I've come this evening to mention an odd and rare aircraft that has many appearances and the originals do not exist today.  I'm talking about the North American NA-50.  This is the aircraft that eventually turned into the T-6 Texan/Harvard we know and love today.

The original NA-50s and NA-68s had engines with less horsepower than the T-6s and a "Razorback" single-seat cockpit.  But is the airframe that is now the T-6.  In all actuality, I'm not requesting the original design, but what is today called the NA-50 Replica.  Which is a Mk IV Harvard with a two seat "Razorback"  Cosmetically rigged to look like an NA-50.

The last remaining NA-50 had an engine replacement in 1943 to an "non-stock" engine, requiring larger cowling.  Therefore, the original design is non-existent today.

...
This is the only remaining original airframe, as you see the different cowling than what we think of on a T-6 today and the different Cockpit.

...
Here is the NA-50 Replica (for sale by the way) that is a Mk IV Harvard airframe with cosmetic surgery and a 3 blade prop.  This is the one I would like to see in my hanger, how about you all?

I'm sure there isn't either of these aircraft for FS9 and FSX, but I'm just throwing the idea if one of you experienced modelers would like to take a stab at it.  More pictures on www.courtesyaircraft.com

(I know this was a lot of reading and probably repetitive, I'm sorry.      Lips Sealed   )
