WINNERS, WINNERS, WINNERS

Judge T. Horse wanted to see the best three-holer pics you could come up with and it seems you didn’t disappoint. He says:

Difficult! Very Difficult - some seriously good entries!
After much deliberation the winner is….

Harold!!!!

...

"There's just something about this shot that captures the mood of the 70's, which is exactly what I was after! - the sky colours especialy, and the subject, expertly put together -  brilliant!"

CONGRATULATIONS, HAROLD!!!!

In second place….

GtiRob01!!

...

"Again the textures capture that 70's feel I was after, overall a great shot!."

And in third place…it’s……

Mi……M………M……….Souichiro!

...

“Lovely shot, the black and white adds that little bit extra!”

“Everyone’s entry was really, really good and I was certainly impressed by the quality and high standards of all the entries - it was a difficult choice!”

Todayshorse

These pics will be up amongst the new-look fabularoony personal portfolios soon – though I have a special date tonight which I have to keep…. With the FEX SHD public beta clouds that took me 17 HOURS to decompress and install for some reason. 17 HOURS to decompress only 6 giga of bloody little fluffy clouds!! First time I get to play with them this whole weekend starts in about 5 minutes…..after I’ve taken my stress medicine…

New JC comp up by Tuesday night….

Cheers

Krigl

Ok bit of research tells me that although it didnt go into offical production till 1981 (and thats not eactly miles out of the 70's) they were evaluating them as early as 1975 - in the 'Advance Tanker Cargo Aircraft' thing...and the KC-10 first flew in 1980.

So as the evaluation models must have had all the gear on id say thats not a problem!

Only a small problem... the boom design was changed. Test aircraft had a KC-135 unit, while the production KC-10 has a different one

Ok, here is my shot. This Eastern Airlines 727 negotiates a 36mph crosswind as it rolls out of the turn for a very short final on the checkerboard approach runway 13 at Kai Tak.

Congrats to Harold on a great looking shot! Looking forward to what you come up with. Atleast this time... Harold will be out of the competition! haha  Wink

I like these contests... they allow you to be more creative, and change things up just a bit thru editing.

Indeed - they push you a bit, more so if the time was less! I like them very much, usualy means a bit of hunting for things for the subject, and a bit of playing around because you cant spend a week or two like you can with the monthly contest working out your shot!
