Well I finally did it. I went through every single screenshot folder I have made since 2004, picked all my favorites out and uploaded them to a website.
It took a while as I had to go through literally thousands of images. Please click the link in my signature entitled
"My Flight Simulator WebShots" and let me know what you think. I have separated them into categories for easy viewing!

Going through the images brought back so many memories of various flights!
I could almost remember each flight and felt as if I have "virtually" been to many of these places" that I have flown.
My FS9 images are truly ones that I am proud of as I had so much payware, a top of the line machine for the demands of FS9 and had mastered the entire simulator.
Having "Walk & Follow" installed allowed me to get some really unique shots. It was truly a "fully loaded Simulation Environment".
Looking at many of these shots I started to miss my FS9 flying days. My machine these days has become "old technology" and can just about handle
FSX but not to the capacity as it did for FS9. I will be getting a new rig soon and I am sure that FSX will bring me the experience that FS9 used to.

So Click the link below and let me know what you think of my Flight Simulator Screen Shot Collection! Thanks!
Open each category and click "Slide show", then press F11 for best viewing!

Wow Dave, it's a great show of pics!! Spent a good long time going through those..... Shocked

After several attempts to produce my own online gallery (like the 2005 pics one in my sig and a gallery of my FS stories no-one has seen because I never finished the last story properly - but it's out there somewhere) this Picasa thing seems like the way to go. I'd never heard of it before... so I hope you won't be too angry when mine appears in a week or so  Cheesy

Cheers

Great idea Dave and really great screenart!

Picasa is very nice, but the best thing about it is that you can watch it with Cooliris PicLens.
Just try it. I'm sure you will like it!

You have to download and intall it, then open Dave's Picasa Gallery in your webbrowser, go into one album and press the small play-button, which is going to appear in the bottom-left corner of each picture on mouseover.
Enjoy it!

Thanks everybody!
Great to see some comments on my shots.
Actually, I think it might have been Harold that 1st linked me to some of his shots posted on Picasa. I find it very easy to use and really does exactly what I want it to do. Post all my shots in different categories on the web for free!
Thanks again!!

Dave

You're right, Jeykey, that PicLens thing really is awesome. I felt like I was looking at Dave's pics in the future... and it works with youtube videos too, and you can get a presentation, and with a double click you can max-size the pic - though detail is lost a bit. Great finds!!
I'm working on my own Picassa gallery now - cars, Oblivion and space-themed shots already up there. It's taking ages though, I must have 20 000 images at least...  Smiley

You can also view pictures you have on your computer.
Just take a folder with pictures, drag it into your webbrowser and press the PicLens button.
It works slower than with pictures from the web, but it works.

What about making a Simviation Gallery that could be viewed with PicLens? On the Cooliris homepage they say you can make every webpage with images viewable with PicLens.
I think that it would be very cool to view for example "StudioV's Screenart Gallery" with it.

Hmmm... worth looking into.

Cooliris aren't going to keep this PicLens product free for ever though, I'm sure it's just a taster to get people hooked by word of mouth and then they'll ask you for money to continue using it. It says in their sign-up agreement that they reserve the right to charge for use of the software in the future, and it looks too much of a professional job for me to imagine it will remain free.

Still, it's a possibility for research  Smiley
