Does this happen everywhere?  If so maybe the aircraft's contact points need editing.

I suppose it could be my landings but I didn't see anything where it talked about hard landings and the gear breaking or not functioning? Does that really happen?

Sure does. If you say, land with too much force on the nose gear for example, the gear may still look like its attached to the aircraft, but the nose will be sitting on the ground after coming to a stop on the runway, as though it had been damaged.

. . . . and yes, I now have 9.1. I did not until today. Just downloaded it. You think that could be it?

Not sure honestly. The 9.1 patch corrects a lot of issues though, so it couldn't hurt. (I was just trying to do the whole "process of elimination" thing. )

I don't see any problems with KAUS...

It just sounds like the gear is failing due to hard landing...9.1 won't change it...

'Hard landings' will cause the 'collapse'. Make sure your not heavy for landing (to much fuel) and reduce your VS (flare) just before touchdown, letting the ac 'settle' onto the runway, not 'plop'.   Roll Eyes Don't let the nose gear slam down, it's a lot weaker than the mains.

If you have your realism settings high, you could try reducing the 'crash tolerence' slider 'till you get the 'soft landings' nailed down..  Smiley

Try landing in the same place in different default planes, like the cessna (which you should be able to land softly enough).  Then just as a test, try something else.  Takeoff in the 747 but really slowly, as in only get a few feet off the ground and then kill the throttle and let the plane roll onto the runway.  If it never happens this way, its probably your landing.

Also try turning off crash detection and see if it still sinks.
