in the ...\<FS>\Scenery\World\scenery\ folder find the 'trafficAircraft.bgl' file. (traffic030528.bgl in FS2004)

Rather than delete it might be better to just disable it...renaming it to something like 'traffcAircraft.original' will disable it, can be re-enabled if wanted.

Disabling will remove both airlines and GA traffic.

Just to confirm that you renamed 'properly'.....

In renaming, you must change the .bgl extension. Example:
trafficAircraft.bgl changed to trafficAircraft.dontshowthis-the file is disabled and ai won't show.

trafficAircraft.bgl changed to dontshowthistrafficAircraft.bgl-the file is not disabled and ai will still show.

That aside... do you have any add-on 'global' traffic file installed?...This would be one designed to replace the default fictitcious airline liveries with real world liveries in the default traffic flight plans. They simply replace the default airline aircraft. They generally leave the flight plans, which includes the ga traffic, intact.

(Real world airline schedule flight plans, like those from PAI or WOAI, do not cause this problem.)
