Of course, now he's locked in for the next year or so - now he'll have to do all variations of the 707, including the KC-135 and all teh ELINT variants...

I have to admit - he works fast....

As an aside - the "original" Boeing 717 was actually the designation for the C/KC-135 series which, although similar to the 707, is actually based off the "Dash-80" prototype, with a smaller diameter fuselage, smaller dimensons, etc.

The E-3, E-6 and E-8 variants, are, however, based off of the 707...

I've seen the C-135 reffered to a 717-100 in the same text as the ex Douglas twin being called a 717-200

Oh Dear Lord!!! Undecided

While I keep working on this one

     ...

I wasn't aware at all about this already and Very well made model 707

This is another model ,from other people, is the same model707 as the one I'm making
...

its a freeware and its available right here

http://www.simviation.com/fsxjets32.htm

Its really really amazing it only have one BIG but, but lets talk about latter

eventhough the plane is made by makemdl9 (For FS9) the animations ,the front leading flaps ,the WING FLEX  Shocked and the awsome VC ,I can't even make the shape of the windows like that..

THE BUT

In all aspect is a very well done airplane 707 ,unfortuanly I don't know what happend to this guy , he made an exquisites Job why hi didn't place FSX Gauges in the VC ?? Why He put these three Ugly pilots in all the seats instead ,In fact when you hit to be in the VC you show in the pilot and you can see you/his hand on the yoke ....
I really really can't understand ,the most easy part ,why he did this?

...

Undecided I will try to go on with this one but scouts words I wasn't aware how good this model was Shocked ..
there its something that some of you may think ,the truth is ,No one would ever dear to make an F-16 ,for what? ,there is the most perfect f-16 in all MSFS history made by Kirk Olson..
I made the B727 knowing about Vistaliners model wich is a lot much more beutifull and better made than mine.
I got inspire by this plane it self Because It didn't came with VC ,That's why Im trying to get a reason to keep on this work reason , But what if this guy decide to release a fixed VC with FSX gauges? ..Oh Dear Lord.. Embarrassed

Just adding my $0.02 here vis-a-vis 'pilots' or any other entity in
the VC...I personally do not like them. They get in the way of the
views from within the VC. Especially with FSX and TrackIR.

I have additional camera definitions that allow me to move about
the VC of the aircraft I fly with the flick of my thumb. If there is
a pilot of FE modeled in the VC their appendages just get in the
way. Why 'spoil' a nice, realistic looking VC with a figure that
looks like a ventriloquists dummy...?

I just experienced this problem with Ito's F2...you can's get to the
switches on the side panels because the 'dummys' arms are in
the way...

Again, just my opinion.

Oh, and I second the "L-188" request Smiley

i agree... no pilots allowed in the cockpits Grin

unless of course there is a really clever way of making them appear or to get rid of them... like a hidden button somewhere in the cockpit that triggers an animation of the pilots walking in and taking their seats... (of course that would require some serious quality animating to pull off...  mean, pixar style animation, at least Wink )

i remember that the WACO biplane from bill lyons had a removable pilot/co-pilot bound to the spoiler animation... since that plane had no spoilers, it was a clever solution to have (or not have) a pilot dummy in the cockpit... of course the spoilers then had no effect on the flying itself

Cheers

For all versions of FSX, But so far I haven't heard more complaints about the size of the DDS maps only 3 persons, and it will be done under 2048x2048 again ,perhaps I will include a smaller maps for small video cards..

All paywares are made like this , why should I change it?

Remember a few years back, when aircraft came with two sets of bitmaps for the 2D panels ?   1024 and 640 low-resolution monitors..  LOL   Cheesy Grin

Seriously though..  A computer without a dedicated graphics card really shouldn't be running FSX; so two sets of textures will just make the download that much bigger  Undecided (remember when that mattered, too ? )

I am not too good in painting ,In fact I consider my sort of obligation ,and the part I wish to skip it , the background is finish shadows, dirt, etc

Now is this is the easy part I just have to paint and place the shadows on it, but really I'm not too good in paintings, and I don't like to do this part

Hi Alex

The earlier engine you modelled look like Rolls Royce Conways....series 420 sold to BOAC, Cunard Eagle, Air India, El Al, Lufthansa and Varig. Smiley

The thrust reverser on the second looks odd....were they not still internal?

Its strange you weren't aware this bro , People liked that plane a lot ,I went out beyond my expectations Smiley ,Unfortunately the FS2004 version is not as good as the FSX version, but still are more FS9 users than FSX that what my email saids.. Grin here are both link Fadul

Alrot release that bird or some people could die in the waiting, after that we can release the kc-137 as a special version Wink

I see the msn complicated because the program is bother me, send me the file, and i began to work with it in blender, after that i send you the plane back, so that you can make your magic  Wink

Contains STOLEN GAUGES that ALROT DIDN'T ASK TO USE.

THIS IS BREACH OF COPYRIGHT ONCE AGAIN.

The offending gauge is 707-320.gau created by George Carty for HJG. Alrot nor anyone has asked to permission to use this gauge.

I can't believe this has happened once again, and people think its ok to steal other peoples work

If this is not removed within 24 hours then we shall be seeking legal advice

And something worse than piracy is false accusations.

Alex is 100% respecter of copyright. He tried several times to contact George but got no respnse or the email g.j.carty@durham.ac.uk I provided was bounced.

Do you know how many aircraft have gauges out there that have been used without 'permission'? More than 80% easily - either because the gauges are of unknown origin or default.

The advice we have used for years with gauges is to try to contact author & if nio response make credits & wait for him to contact if there is a problem. That is the general set way where the author cannot be contacted. It has happened for years in 1000's of cases.

This is NOT  a serious offence but rather something that should be peacefully resolved.

Making friction between developers is at least as bad - I would argue worse - than piracy. It can destroy the hobby.

Alex is one of the most honourable and well intentioned guys I know and the way to resolve any such desputed is ALWAYS to contact in a friendly way to resolve.

Making loud & inconsiderate accusations on public forums is damaging to all involved & totally non-constructive.

Precisely. Rather than threats of legal action the easiest way out of this would be to give Alrot an e-mail address where he can contact George Carty to officially request permission to use his gauge. If permission is denied then he would have every right to ask for its removal. However, I really don't see the point of such a high-handed action.

I have to wonder how much effort was made to contact the author of the gauge. I thought that both HJG & Alrot were sponsored by Simviation so I don't understand the difficulty in contacting any of them. This sounds more like a case of brothers falling out. Roll Eyes

I'm Back on line for couple hours ..

I try to contact him ,I read his Read-me file ,in the read me file is only this Not email

Quote:
INSTALLATION: CORE FILES FOR HJG B707 SERIES PANELS BY GEORGE CARTY
===================================================================

PLEASE NOTE: This gauge set is designed for FS2004 use although it can also be used with FSX. It will not function with FS2002 or earlier versions of FS.

Sounds in the newest version of the B707 panels are external files, rather than being part of the GAU files

(1) Unzip all files to a temporary folder
(2) Copy/paste the files in the gauges folder to the gauges folder in your flight sim directory.
(3) Copy/paste the files in the sounds folder to the sounds folder in your flight sim directory.

This gauge set is for exclusive use with the HJG B707 series panels by George CARTY and in conjunction with HJG B707 aircraft models.

I look everywhere and I only found this email witch doesn't work..

Discusted ONCE again?ONCE AGAIN FOR WHAT?!!!!!!,

when was the first time? oh yeah when you acussed  me in public too as a thief for stealing your American Airlines 727 vistaliners textures ? Do you want to check the texture of my 727 again?b Did I steal then?  ..

a false accusation ,from stealing your textures? remember this was your fault and caused me a lot of issues ..

_______________________________________________________
Now back to the gauge:

This its a freeware, "Ben" I'm not earning anything because of this ,  ,I name the George as this specific gauge in the read me file..

Why is this war Ben ? HJG can Post the plane because its a brother of my site ,I was hoping to send an email to your site , If you consider well enough to post in your prestigious website..

This is not something bad as a texture or  A Sound FROM OTHER AIRPLANE ,THIS IS A GAUGE TO PUT IN A PANEL FOR THE USE OF ANY BOEING 707 ,WHAT IF I USE JUST THE PANEL AND PLACE IN THE PLANE after all you have it in YOUR SITE HJG AS FREEWARE TO BE USE IN ANY BOEING 707..

once again this is a world of freewares a steal ? I'm not earning nothing,Jesus !! You have no Idea what is steal !!! LOOK THE INTERNET AND SEE HOW MANY PLANES ARE STOLEN COMPLETELY AND LOOK YOUR PANELS ARE AVAILABLE IN OTHER SITES ...

i DON'T EARN  even a penny cause of it..  ,The name GEORGE CARTHY IS IN THE READ ME FILE !
Bad would be if I would took it from an already made aircraft add-on ..But it came in a 2d panel freeware POSTED BY HJG..

I didn't knew it was from your site ,Someone here gave the link (you can look in this same thread) If I would knew that this was made by you earlier I wouldn't place and use it to avoid issues.

if you insist I would remove the the plane from Pete's server and post it back next week ..there are many gauge similar like the concorde gauges .

BTW there are others gauges inside this VC Not just YOUR gauge BEN..

Ben there are worth Stealing things in Internet , any of your panels or plane can be take and redistribute for sale ..it happends everyday ,why is this war against me ? YES ITS A GREAT GAUGE ,BEAUTIFUL WELL MADE A GOOD FREEWARE THAT MANY WILL JOY IN THE AIRCRAFT TOO. DON'T BE SO SELFISH AND STOP THIS WAR AGAINST ME.

and all people enjoy the plane, Please, I swear for my kid! this Is My gift free to all of you ,and I will continue to improve my models, No matter what...thanks for your support Guys and I think the problem in my area internet connection wasn't a coincidence .. if I have remover the plane will be for short time ,the Concorde FS2000 default has a nice gauges similar to these one..

Guys,

Let's calm this down, there's a lot of hot air blowing around for nothing. If Alex wants to use the gauge in his VC (a compliment to George Carty after all), then why not just leave the location reference in the panel.cfg file, and put a note in the README that the gauge itself can be downloaded from the HJG downloads section? Anybody keen on using Alex' 707 (and who wouldn't?) shouldn't have an issue doing this - it's not as if it's hard work or anything.

That way, there can be no accusations of theft since the gauge will be obtained by the user from the 'right' source (which is here at SimV in any case).

I'm hoping that HJG is not trying to emulate other well-known model designer outfits who are very ... forthright with their views, shall we say, on their own websites.

I've had enough of my own material used and abused with no returns, never credited. When it comes to FS it's only really bothered me when I got someone else's permission to include their material and credit was specifically asked for but not given.
I also know the difficulty of trying to contact authors of gauges and, particularly, model files: no answers, defunct addresses, etc.. I've spent not only hours but months trying to track people down.
Stealing? When material is used and no credit to the originator is given, to say nothing of when credit is claimed by the user, then I'd say it's stealing. Otherwise, since this is freeware, they can claim they've given me 100% of the royalties -- nothing, free if not clear.

I am late replying to this thread but feel I should to make good the name of HJG. I want to say that we are not represented by Ben who had no authority to fire off comments in a way that has caused offence. I am sorry that this has portrayed our group in a very bad light, something which I have always tried to avoid since taking on HJG 2 years ago. Ok maybe if you could not get permission via e-mail then a message or PM in our HJG forum to me or another member of staff would have given you the answer you wanted, but that is no excuse for the disgraceful comments (without my knowledge or permission) that have appeared by someone from HJG.
We pride ourselves on being friendly and an easy group to get on with if we fail to do this I see no point in being a member.
Thanks for taking time out to read this post

Mr. Tony Madge ,I know HJG is not represented by Ben, and Im sure as the rest of the people who saw this post, sure your site is well know as Prestigious in the internet .
Maybe Ben wasn't bad intentions ,maybe was to protect HJG Property ,and I respect that , I tried to contact George Carthy ,I didn't knew it was HJG Panel see this topic please, the first one

http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1210719054/30#30

, I was looking gauges (Is not merculiv fault either) when I was in the middle of the work I realize was Ben 's site, the same guy which we had a strong issue too at the beginning of this year ,and I didn't dear to Login in your forum for not having troubles with him ,so I try to contact G.C. Directly to his email   ,but the email I found was not good, didn't work Embarrassed ..

So I did what I consider the best ,to give the credit to G.C in the read me file and now also his name is in my website too

http://www.simviation.com/fsnd/Downloads.htm

Is a problem that will cause to HIMSELF(Ben) a lot of issues in his future life ,he's got to control his emotions and be carefull of what his type ,I read the way he espress about me in your forum ,he's very rude ,and also was with Pete Daly ..

This has nothing to do with Historic Jet Group ,I think this became more something personal between Ben and Me ,which started by accusing me for stealing a textures from vistaliners 727 AA paint he did  ,thing that I prove he was completely wrong ,the only thing I stole was the wonderful technique he uses to make the metallic effect  on a surface of a fuselage.. ,

Also he was very clear and claim that this hasn't to do with HJG ,that I took his paint and use in my B727 model, Latter he apologize to me,because obviously he was wrong..But I never get too convince about that apology and I knew this will be repeate it again as he claim in this thread Quote:
I can't believe this has happened once again! Disgusted once again
see why I wasn't too convience about that apology?.

Frankly I feel responsible for all this ,I should log in your forum and ask first ,

we are brother Hosted By Simviation and I 'd like to work together for the benefit of both Mr. Tony..

Anything you need or request ,Please PM me in this forum or in my website's forum http://alrot.proboards83.com/index.cgi

Thanks you Mr. Tony Madge...and sorry for my poor English

There's an easy way to resolve the unfortunate part of what happened here .... Smiley

Firstly .... I am 1 of Tony's 3 management staff over at HJG.

Alejandro is correct .... it's unfortunate that what happened recently, well intentioned though it may have been, was misinterpreted and therefore very badly handled/represented .... I admit .... and albeit without the knowledge/consent of HJG management as Tony has indicated above !

For this I personally appologize to Alejandro on behalf of HJG .... and I also appologize to the SIMVIATION community for what happened here recently.

Alejandro .... por favor comunicar conmigo al foro del gruppo HJG.

Send me .... "AEROFOTO" .... a PM.

I do communicate with George CARTY.

If you will do this then I will see what I can do to try and get the co-operation/approval you were originally looking for .... OK. I know that George can sometimes be very difficilt to make contact with.

Por favor .... disculpeme para toda la molestia reciente.

Muchismmas gracias ! Wink
