I can't believe it
I think the world record for a single core is 9GHz and for quad is 6.8 GHz?

Waste of Liquid Nitrogen.
Much better to use it to store yourself until the 25th Century.

For the cost it would have probably been better to fork out for a new quad core.

7.6ghz...

Old news really, I've seen 9ghz. What's really impressive is when you get a QX9770 upto 4.5ghz on air, 100% stable. That's atleast as fast as a 9ghz P4 only with four of them.
Then you get a DDR3 / good mobo and have really good memory latencies.
