Hey guys, not too sure how many of us enjoy the GTA series, but as most of you all probably know GTA IV came out here in the the US (not sure what the release dates are in other parts of the world). Anyway, picked up my copy today and plan on getting into the single player alittle tonight. One thing I'm definitely planning on doing this weekend is trying out the multiplayer though. Anyone who is planning on picking up the game on the 360 and would like to try and get together feel free to send me a friend invite. Let me know your from simv so I dont mistake it for some random friend invite and ignore it by accident. My live tag is the same as my username here on the forums: Sovien.

It's taking a while to get used to everything again as I haven't played gta in a while. The cars are great IMO. I know a lot of people are wishing they droove like the last games but I love how they've gone for realism. The lack of turning when braking is brilliant.

I completely agree. It threw me at first, but it feels great after driving around for 5 minutes or so. Atleast, I adapted quickly.

@ Layne - I am pure jealousy right now (I'm at work Sad )

Have either of you two ps3 fellas noticed any of the freezing issues I've read about? I've had my 360 version freeze on me twice, but that's the only problems I've had with it so far.

I've played for 6 hours straight with my ps3 closed inside my entertainment center and I've had no freezing problems whatsoever.

Started playing this Sunday and aside from work I can't put it down. My PS3 froze up one time only so far. Think it got a little warm. I set a small quiet fan towards the back and have had zero problems since. Racked up close to 20 grand so far and just by playing the missions out as they come per person i meet. Like now I am doing all the steal this car for me stuff from the roid rage freak that sends me emails. Pretty cool so far.

Mine freezes all the time now on my 360 Sad Get about 20 mins of play, then 360 locks up and freezes, sometimes says disk unreadable - not a scratch on the disk Sad

Annoying because it is a great game.

Cellman, that might be a problem with your 360.
I'd call Microsoft to make sure.

I just completed it.

Wow...  Sad

Finished the story. 18 pigeons done in. Every one of Little Jacob's jobs done. 68.50% progress so far? This will be an easy 100%! Only thing I am worried about is beating the high score on QUB3D.

Playstation Network ID is antonov124. Tongue

Argh, I came so close to the QUB3D achievement.
It's impossible.

Use the brakes a lot, stay away from the handbrake. As you get ready to turn, brake as late as possible, turn, and floor the throttle when you're halfway through.

I used to play this game A LOT before I got my new Macbook Pro...
