Great result, although I always thought she had a fighting chance to make the top step at some time.

Good on her. Now lets see her in F1, despite Jenson Buttons reservations. "imagine strapping her in!"

you detect right Wink Grin
I think she has the talent to be a good racer, unfortunatly she has a very immature attitude. If you listen to her radio during races, she's constantly swearing and yelling at her crew either for something they've done or something someone on the tracks done. However more often than not she's the one who's screwed up. That whole thing with Dan Wheldon last year, she started it all off. And she then started spouting on about how she was a better driver than him and that he should respect her and let her by. Unfortunatly for her Dan Wheldon former champion and usually most laps leader per season. Is just that much better. And she's even gone after her own team mates. Hopefully she'll grow up a little now she's won. Maybe it was all just frustration. We'll see.

Hate to pull the feminist point of view, but here it goes Craig:

http://auto-racing.speedtv.com/article/olson-danicas-moment/

Not that Jeff Olson is a die hard feminist, but I agree with him fully in the double standard comment he made.  I see plenty of other racers pointing fingers and blaming (namely Paul Tracy), and yes its immature and I don't like it but its pretty universal.  Now there are drivers who are much more disciplined and are rarely found in skirmishes, but hey, not everyone can be a Kanaan or Hamilton Grin

oh, and I've never heard her complain about her crew.

In the end I dont care whether she's a woman or not. Lets face it, you'd never know if you dressed them all up in plain racing suits and helmets who was who. It makes no differance. Just the attitude. She's supposed to be a role model, but just doesn't do a good job of it.
As for the pit crew incident, there was a race last year where she either hit someone or ran over the equiptment and she just went off on the crew about it costing her the race.
I'd liken her to Montoya really. As for double standards, I honestly cant remember guys like Hornish, Kannan, Dixon and Castroneves swearing at their crew because of something. There was one incident with Kannan where he threatend to never race with them again after something they did, but it was calmly said with no swearing. They save it for after the race because they know if they get angry in the car they'll make a mistake and crash or certainly drop out of contention.
This is the part of Danica's game that she has to fix. If she want's ot yell stomp and pout as the article says, do it behind closed doors after the race like other drivers. Thats why they dont always come across as nice people. They know when to vent Wink
