ok...so I've downloaded MakeMdl SDK.exe. But the problem is that when I select a Gmax file for the input file, it says that it is not a proper X file. So, I want to ask you guys, how DO you make an X file with Gmax?
and i'm sorry for making so much posts for this

You must have the export module from the FS9 SDK installed IN GMax per the very clear instructions included in the SDK. The export module plugin is what converts the .gmax source into an .X file for use by MakeMDL.exe...

Instead of asking endless questions, take the time to actually read the SDK's instructions first...  Shocked

Actually, the export program is FSModelExp.dle; this program allows gmax to export the scene.  Makemdl then picks it up to compile, the output of which is the .mdl file.

gmax --> FSModelExp.dle --> Makemdl --> .mdl

Both FSModelEXP.DLE amd makemdl.exe must be in the gmax Plugins folder.

I thought I'd just said that...  Grin

Granted, I didn't name it, I only wrote "export module from the FS9 SDK" but that amounts to the same thing, nu?  Grin

Fr. Bill,

You of all people should know that to show someone the "light", you do not beat them over the head with the "Good Book" but quote chapter and verse.  Roll Eyes
