Do i need the sdk kit from the fsx delux cd in order to design aircraft in fsds??? like do i have to have it or is there an alternative because i dont have the delux edition and i really dont want to buy another copy of a game that i already have.

You will need the base FSX SDK from the Deluxe edition so that you are then authorized to install the SDK updates.

FSDS v3.5x requires the XtoMDL.exe compiler as well as the modeldef.xml file at a minimum to work.
